WELCOME TO “GET ENGAGED”

What does it mean, to be ENGAGED? The obvious has something to do with the sacrament of marriage; however this blog is not about proposals and the yes/no answer associated with it. You did not come here wanting to know how to propose to your girlfriend. Or did you?....Just kidding. Let’s explore this for a moment, because there are many meanings to the word ENGAGE. Here are the descriptions from a dictionary from which I wish to share with you:

Engage
  1. to occupy the attention of
  2. to employ
  3. to attract and hold
  4. to interlock with
  5. to be involved with
  6. to assume an obligation to
  7. choosing to commit oneself to

Now picture whatever it is you want for your life and for your business or career. What term would you use to describe your overall desires? Just one word; now use that word at the end of the seven definitions listed above. Let’s say you chose the word “success”. That would mean, to ENGAGE SUCCESS, you would essentially “occupy the attention of success”, “employ success”, “attract and hold success” and so on. And that my friends, is why we are here. To have a conversation about getting engaged with the right business strategies, which in turn will engage you with your desires.

Welcome to the GET ENGAGED BLOG! My goal is to help you reach your goal. Whether you have a start up or an existing business, the posts shared here are intended to guide you with what you need to GET ENGAGED with whatever your mind can come up with. I encourage you to dream bigger dreams and challenge yourself. Pursue dreams so big that they seem impossible to accomplish, so you can come to realize your greatest potential. I’ll be right here providing the thoughts, tips, and strategies necessary to help guide you into the action mode.

And remember, it all starts with vision!

Engage strategy, engage success,
A. Young

  1. ENGAGE Proposing to Girlfriend :p

Great introduction Akeem, I look forward to reading your blog.
I think dreaming big is great, but many people take it too far and focus way too much on their BIG goals and get troubled by it because their actual self is very far from their ideal self and the farther it is from one another the more unhappy the person is. Rather, they should focus more on the step-by-step process, while keeping that BIG goal in the corner of their minds.
That would lead to less procrastination and more happiness.
